Our Staff

Cynthia Beeler, Owner/Administrator

Cynthia Beeler started her professional career as an elementary school teacher. She taught for 12 years and left the profession to become a stay-at-home mom. She moved to Harrison in 1998 after the death of her parents. Personal experience in taking care of family members in the end stages of life, made her realize the importance of caregiving support. When the opportunity to purchase ATLIS presented itself, she knew that it was something that she wanted to be a part of. She soon realized that whether someone is 9 or 90, people are still people, with the same basic needs.

What I like most about in-home care: I like that ATLIS helps provide stress relief and peace of mind, not only for our clients but for their extended family as well. It is our privilege to be involved in providing compassionate care for the elderly. The ATLIS slogan is "Where your family is our family." We want our clients to feel the comfort of knowing that we take our business personally and will take care of them like family. We are on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week, so you don't have to be.

Dr. Stephen A. Beeler, Co-Owner

Dr. Beeler grew up in Harrison. After graduation he went to college and dental school. He has been in private practice dentistry since 1981. He moved back to Harrison in 1998 to be near family. Steve believes in giving back to the community and serves on the board of Share and Care, NARMC Hospital Foundation, and the Harrison Free Dental Clinic. He feels that ATLIS is also a way of giving back by providing much-needed services for our aging population.

What I like most about in-home care: Even though I do not work in a hands-on, daily capacity with ATLIS, I know we are providing a valuable service. Seniors want to live in their homes as long as physically possible. I like knowing we can help make that happen.

Mendie Tkachuk, Registered Nurse (R.N.)

Mendie Tkachuk is also a lifelong resident of the area. She has broad experience working with the elderly that crosses many different aspects of care. She has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a Licensed Practical Nurse and currently works as a Registered Nurse. Her varied background working with the elderly includes hospital, nursing home and in-home care settings.

What I like most about in home care: I enjoy working with our geriatric clients on a one-on-one basis. The atmosphere is always caring at ATLIS and I have the best co-workers!

Lula Belle Matlock, Caregiver Coordinator

Lula Belle Matlock, Caregiver Coordinator is a life-long resident of Boone County. Her first experience with in-home care was personal, caring for her mother, father and aunt. Realizing what an important service in-home care was, she became professionally involved through ATLIS In Home Care. She has been a devoted advocate for the elderly for almost 6 decades.

What I like most about in-home care: I have always been a problem solver. Working for families allows me to use that skill to help people stay in their own homes. The elderly are our greatest resource and they deserve the best care we can provide.

Shirley Harris, Administrative Assistant

Shirley Harris has lived and worked in Harrison, AR her entire life. She has more than 25 years of experience working in the public sector through family businesses like Harold’s Bakery, Yogurt Sweet Shop and also ATLIS. Shirley provides support for the entire administrative staff and caregivers at ATLIS. She is a friendly, helpful first contact for those calling ATLIS.

What I like most about in home care: I really enjoy talking with and meeting new people. The clients at ATLIS have so much wisdom and experience that we can learn from; it is a blessing to get to know them.
